Shannon's Thanksgiving Day

Hi everyone! I want to start by saying that I miss all of you very much! It has been almost 6 months since I left Spain and I think about it every day. Last year I talked about my favorite holiday, Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving was last week, on November 22nd and I have some photos to show you of how my family and I spent Thanksgiving. I went shopping the day before Thanksgiving to get all of the food. My mom and aunts cooked on Thanksgiving and my dad carved our turkey. We had a small Thanksgiving this year, only 12 people, but normally we have many more. We ate a lot of food and then watched some football games. My uncles love football. The women in my family don't like to watch football so they sit and talk. It was a fun day but we were all very tired at the end. I want to make another blog after Christmas so you can all see how we celebrate Christmas in America and I am very excited because my brother will come home for Christmas.                                      Shannon

Yesterday April 25th, Shannon's mum came to visit us. As she is a teacher of Spanish back there in New Hampshire, she was our teacher yesterday and she told us about her life, her job, her students and she answered all our questions very kindly. There are many differences between her school and ours but she said she liked Seville very much. THANKS MAUREEN, COME BACK AGAIN!!!! We wanted a photo with Shannon and her mother!!!

SHANNON: our new Assistant Teacher

Hello! By now I have met most of you, but I just wanted to introduce myself again and tell you a little bit about my life in America. In case you have forgotten, my name is Shannon, and I will be with you in the classroom until May. I am very excited to be here in Spain and work with all of you. I have picked 10 things about myself that I would like to share with you and there are also som pictures:
1) I live in New Hampshire, a state in the northern part of the USA.
2) I am 22 years old and my birthday is April 23rd.
3) I graduated from the University of Maryland in May. My school was next to Washington DC, the capital of the United States.
4) I studied Criminal Justice, and one day I want to work with young kids (juveniles) who have gotten in trouble with the law.
5) I have one older brother, Matt. He lives in Los Angeles and wants to be an actor.
6) My mom is a Spanish teacher and my dad works for a construction company.
7) I have two dogs, Riley and Bandit. One is very big and one is small, but they are best friends.
8) I love to ride horses but do not have any of my own.
9) I have 5 best friends that I have known since I was 14. They are Maria, Kelsey, Olga, Kayla, and Sam.
10) I love Spain and the people here are very nice!
